AMS Auto-Trac Transition Program
Some of you have heard that John Deere is canceling the AutoTrac Transition Program on March 31, 2010 and may be wondering what that means for you. You are only affected if you are currently running an Original GreenStar Display(Brown Box) and using an AutoTrac activation on your Key Card. In the past John Deere has offered a program for you to upgrade your display and transfer your AutoTrac activation over to the new display for a small fee. On May 31, 2010 this program is expected to be cancelled. After that date you will have to buy a new AutoTrac activation if you upgrade to a new 2600 or 1800 display.
Q: What will this cost me?
A: Deere currently charges $250.00 plus tax to have your AutoTrac activation transferred from the Keycard to the new display. We can transfer the activation to an existing display you have or to an new display that you purchase.
Q: What if I don't want/need to upgrade?
A: If you are happy with your Original display your AutoTrac will still work after this date. But keep in mind that the original displays are slowly being phased out. As of right now we can still order new Original displays from Deere, but that will change in the future. If your display does break or quit working, in the future we may not be able to replace it with a new one and you will have to buy a new AutoTrac activation(current List Price $3,000 for SF1, $6,500 for SF2).
Q: What do I do if I want to upgrade?
A: Call our AMS Specialists Phil Moskal at 608-290-6722, or e-mail him at pmoskal@midstateequipment.com. He can get you quotes on a new 1800 or 2600 display and the proper harnesses to work with your existing equipment.
